Another Great Easter Opportunity!

If you’d like the opportunity during the Easter season to enrich your understanding of Jesus the Man, a three-part docu-drama will be shown on large-screen video in our office complex the Wednesday nights of March 10, 17, and 24. The offices are located at 5180 113th Avenue North in the Suncoast Team office building. We will begin at 7 PM and you’ll be out the door by 8:30. This is an interesting video of Jesus and the best information from an educational standpoint. The quality and accuracy is superb. It has computer generated imagery and fine features like what Jesus’ physical appearance would likely have been and gives a glimpse into his world as referenced by the best scholars available today. This will be an opportunity to view and discuss the real life and times of the Man we know and love as you’ve not seen before. If you need more information, please contact the church office at 258-0048.

EASTER Is it BC or AD? OT or NT?

True or false: “You can find Easter in the Bible.”

There’s a lot of confusion about Easter in our culture. Even in churches! There shouldn’t be, of course, since Easter is found in Scripture cover-to-cover. But the problem often is because many Christians look for Easter in only about 20% of the Bible. But what about the rest? What may we learn there to deepen our love and appreciation for God’s grace, and enrich our understanding of it?

Sundays in March will be given to preaching and teaching that digs for the gems to be found in the Old Testament. Discussion will follow on the 14th, 21st and 28th.
Sermons on these days are as follows:

March 7 Romancing The Stone Or Rejecting It?
March 14 Blueprints You’d Think Only An Architect Could Love!
March 21 Job’s Bottom Line
March 28 Critical Mess or Critical Mass? Jesus In The Temple
April 4 EasterSunday

An added Wednesday evening feature will be an outstanding docu-drama of the life and mission of Jesus in three parts – March 10, 17 and 24 at 7 pm – using the latest and best material available today – with excellent computer technology to show Jesus and his world like you have never seen it.

The month will reach its peak with our Passover seder, to be held Thursday, April 1 at the Lutheran Church of the Cross School, 4545 Chancellor Street NE in Shore Acres, beginning at 7:00 pm.

Our deep desire for you is that Easter season of this year will show you the most important facets of the most important event in history: resurrection of God’s Messiah.

Please mark your calendars and plan to be part of all of it! This is how to get beyond bunnies, eggs, baskets, hats and fancy dresses.

Cornerstone Covenant Weekend

MARCH 12TH & 13TH—CORNERSTONE COVENANT WEEKEND
This weekend event is planned for CBC members who were unable to make our fall class, and those who want to become members. When our church was first formed, we needed to incorporate in order to join the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, so the quickest, easiest way was to simply have all who wanted to be part of this new work of God sign their names. We are now beyond signing a mere piece of paper to commit and covenant with one another and are asking you to come to the Covenant Weekend, either to make this commitment OR to gain more information regarding Cornerstone and the EPC (Evangelical Presbyterian Church). The format will be Friday evening (6:30 PM) at our office complex, located at 5180 113th Avenue North. Drive north on 49th Street until you reach 113th (Mercury Medical is on the northwest corner of the block), and turn left. The office is located on the left side of 113th Avenue. The name on the building is “SUNCOAST TEAM”. On Saturday, we will begin at 8:00 (Please bring a breakfast munchie to share with the group). The style will be casual and relaxed, with an engaging blend of humor, learning and sharing. A sign up sheet will be provided at a later date.
